We are looking for a Software Product Owner to join our team in Colorado Springs or Denver, CO.

What You'll Do

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes which includes writing new user stories, determining acceptance criteria for each user story

  • Develop release planning criteria

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities

  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact

  • Articulate requirements and business value to engineering teams and deliver with speedy time-to-market and optimal resources

  • Evaluate marketing and communication plans to ensure consistency with Saas product line strategy and effective messaging

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding

  • Align product management with overall company strategy

  • Determine return on investment (ROI) for new proposed features

  • Communicate to stakeholders to obtain feedback

  • This is an intermediate level role

  • Position is based in Colorado Springs or Denver area

What You Should Have

  • 4+ years of product owner experience in a dynamic high-technology environment

  • 4+ years’ experience working in an Agile/ Scrum work environment

  • 4+ years’ experience with full software development lifecycle

  • 4+ years software development and web technologies

  • 4+ years experience in driving product launches

  • Demonstrated business and technology acumen

  • Ability to develop Saas product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

  • Strategic, analytical and critical thinking expertise; ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans

  • Must possess project/time management proficiency

  • Strong cross functional partnership & leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Must live in or near Colorado Springs/Denver or willing to relocate at own expense

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Competency in product owner tools and basic office programs (Version One, Rally, Jira, MS Project, Share Point, MS Office)

  • ITIL certification

  • ITSM

  • Quality assurance experience

  • Self-motivated – ‘find a way to get it done’ attitude

  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines

  • Experience with service-oriented environments, and better development practices

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
