Requisition 14490 BASIC FUNCTION: Accountable for establishing and maintaining supply discipline,including minimum stocks of expendable and rotatable spare parts for allFlight Training Devices (FTDs) at the Learning Center, by performing thefollowing duties : Establish and maintain supply discipline, including minimum stocklevels of expendable and rotatable spare parts for all Flight Training Devices(FTDs) at a Learning Center. JOB DUTIES: * Establish and maintain automated records of physical inventory inaccordance with prescribed FlightSafety International Standards Policy. * Accountable for ensuring that FTD parts/spares are readily availablefor repair or replacement actions by FTD staff without overstocking,and/or overspending. * Order bench stock, materials, parts and equipment for FlightTraining Devices support in accordance with FSI policies and procedures. * Acquire and maintain spares cost and pricing data with use of automateddata management techniques and tools. * Complete all administrative tasks associated with assigned provisioningtasks. * Ship rotatable or expendable spares to other FlightSafety InternationalCenters, as required. * Acquire and analyze repair quotes and balance cost of repairs versusexchange and make recommendation to management on most cost-effective methodof repair. * Coordinate repair activities with repair Centers at FlightSafetySimulation (FSS); coordinate use of local repair capability in supportof FSS and other FlightSafety International Centers. * Ship spares to Simulation Systems Functional group (SSFG) or othervendor(s) for repair and track \\"returns to stock\\" in a timely manner. * Interact with various other FTD staff regarding needed spares/partsin anticipation of possible repair and/or replacement actions at the Center. * Interact with SSD for inventory definitions and to preclude unnecessaryspares and cost duplications. * Interact with Simulation Operations Support (SOS) AnalysisEngineers and SOS Manager for definition of critical path priority ofspares, repair parts and support equipment. * Assist A/MFTD in setting of appropriate minimum quantity levels forspares, using analysis of past usage patterns and estimates of future usage. * Willingness to provide training and guidance to Spares SupportAdministrators at other FlightSafety International training Centers. * Accountable for the security of FlightSafety International materials,projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used inthe production and usage of FlightSafety International products. * Adhere to required work schedule including prompt and regularattendance. * Report, on a timely basis, any safety hazards observed in workarea, equipment, and/or building to appropriate person(s) for correction. * Participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) activities atassigned site and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing thesite's QMS goals. * Participate in Learning Center Safety Management System (SMS)activities including; supporting and promoting the safety culture,reporting all aviation safety-related issues via the feedback system, andadhering to the processes related to accomplishing SMS goals. * Support FlightSafety International's, and its subsidiaries',commitment to ethical behavior by basing our priorities on lawful and ethicalconduct as we deal with co-workers, customers, vendors and others in allof our operations.
