Job DescriptionSupports contract activity with moderate to high risk to the business.Contract activity may be non-routine and require development of specializedcontract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives.Generally involves independent judgment and analysis of significant issueidentification and resolution. May require development of new contractpolicies and processes or assessment of required deviations from establishednorm.QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field (accounting, marketing, finance,etc.) Masters degree Desired.NCMA Professional Certification DesiredFive (5) to fifteen (15) years of experience in contractadministration, subcontract administration and/or procurement with anemphasis in a government arena and construction.Ability to draft moderate to complex, non- routine contractualinstruments.Working to excellent knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, coupledwith ability to identify required improvement to established policies and tocommunicate implementation procedures to others.Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform CommercialCode, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, andapplicable international contract law.Strong to excellent analytical and communication skills.Good presentation, leadership and management skills.Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues.Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.Emerging ability to excel in upper level management environment.Must be a self-starter with the ability to deal with multiplepriorities/tasks.Must be able to work with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.Time management and prioritization skills.Attention to detail.Strong and effective oral communication, writing, and computer skills areessential.Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.Desired Skills:Understanding of, and experience with the Federal procurement process andregulations (e.g. FAR).Construction contracting knowledge.North Wind offers a competitive pay and benefits package to include health,life, and disability insurance benefits, 401(k) with company match,generous paid leave, and tuition reimbursement for eligible employees.
