Dutiesmay include but are not limited to the following: providing access andsupervising students using tools and equipment, general cleaning andorganizing of studio and storage spaces, taking inventory and replenishingsupplies. Expected work hours are generally 10-15 hours a week with apossibility of negotiation. Duties/ResponsibilitiesMonitor open lab/studio time for art students (50%)*Provide monitored students access to tools and equipment as needed.*Supervise and assist students with appropriate use of various hand,electric, and bench top or stand tools, including cutting and sandingtools, dremel tools, hand saws, electric miter saw, band saw, drillpress, metal shears, slip roll, disc sander and sewing machines.*Replenish consumable materials as needed, including mounting new band sawblades and sanding discs.General cleaning and organization of classroom and storage spaces. (25%)*Wipe down sinks.*Sweep floors in classrooms and storage rooms.*Mop floors when necessary clean desks and work benches.*Organize storage shelves in studio spaces, facilitating the use of astepladder and rolling safety ladder as needed.*Restock cleaning supplies in classrooms from back-stock storage closet.Stocking and Inventory (15%)*Take inventory of classroom tools, equipment, and consumables located inclassroom storage spaces.*Replenish classroom supplies from back-stock storage.*Take inventory of back-stock storage indicating deficiencies needed to bereplenished with an order of supplies.*Restock instructor tool bins.Fill display cases (10%)*Work with instructors to assist in filling display cases according toinstructor needs and determined by the display case schedule.*Work with instructors and area coordinators on filling the art department 2Dcases according to the scheduled availability for Foundations classes.*De-install cases and organize artwork for each instructor in relevantclassrooms.*Clean glass and vacuum cases after de-installing student work.
