Wewant your knowledge and expertise!This is an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist position. The ED pharmacist spendsthe majority of the time in the Emergency Department, integrated with the ERteam. The main focus for this position will be participating in bedsidecare, including responding to all strokes, codes, traumas, and anycritical incoming patients. This role will oversee the medicationreconciliation technician and manage the culture call back process. Minimalorder verification and medication dispensing responsibilities are required.Resident precepting is required and student precepting is expected, as able.Participation with ED-related projects and nursing education is expected.This is aMid-Shift position-7 on 7 off.Here is some of what you can expect from being an Advanced Clinical Pharmacistwith us:You will perform drug procurement, drug packaging, patient billing, andall aspects of drug compounding and distributionYou will provide drug information and clinical service to health professionalsand patientsYou will supervise Pharmacy Technicians, Interns, Students and VolunteersYou will monitor all aspects of drug therapy in the facilityYou will provide services which require specialized skills and/orage-specific competencies, which include adult, geriatric, and pediatricpatients from neonatal through adolescent agesYou will serve as a patient advocate when planning and implementingpharmaceutical careQualifications you will need for this role:Registered Pharmacist in the State of Colorado-BCPS certification preferred.BCLS/ACLS required through AHA or ARCB.S. or Pharm D. degree in Pharmacy-Graduate of an accredited residencyprogram preferredMinimum of three years clinical experience requiredPGYI + 3 years experience in CCU/ED setting or PGY2 CCU/ED required forthis positionPrevious management/project management experience preferredSwedish Medical Center, part of HCA's HealthONE, is located in the southmetro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for morethan 110 years.
