Join us in our efforts to better ourcommunity!PositionSummary:As an Infection Prevention Coordinator, you will collaborate withinterdisciplinary teams and with other departments to ensure that optimalinfection control practices are delineated, shared, maintained, and regularlyreviewed for the facility.What you will do in this role:Asan Infection Prevention Coordinator, you will be responsible for theprevention, detection and control of infections in the facility andresponsiblefor the direction of the Infection Prevention Program.Youwill be responsible for establishing, instituting and maintaining an effectivesystem for evaluation and reporting infections in patients.Youwill maintain current knowledge of job related research findings and initiatesor modifies policy, procedure, and practice in accordance with these.Youwill monitor all publically reported and corporate defined and reportedinfection prevention data.Youwill review and assure compliance with all applicable regulatory,certificationand accreditation standards in accordance to current applicable federal, stateand local standards.Youwill collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure that staffare educated on optimal infection prevention and control practices.Youwill work in collaboration with Safety Officer to monitor and direct infectionprevention practices for construction and other hospital projects.Whatqualifications you will need:Degreein nursing or medical technology. Master's degree in public health,preferred. Bachelor'sdegree in related field.Completionof Infection Control Surveillance course is preferred.Certificationin Infection Control (CIC) is preferred, as employee becomes eligible to testfor it (as defined by the CertifiedBoard of Infection Control and Epidemiology, CBIC).Two or more years'experience in a hospital setting required.Three (3) years...
