We investigate, select, develop, and integratetechnologies and solutions that meet the needs of the company for short,medium and long term initiatives. This includes the delivery of thetechnology plan and future architecture for Voice, Video, Data,Optical, Commercial, Cloud, CPE, Network and Access.JOB SUMMARYEssential Functions:* Develop, design and implement video transportation solutions.* Develop of project cost estimates and schedule forecasts.* Participate in the development and implementation of standards,policies, and procedures.* Understand the technical roadmaps within Video Operations to ensurecompliance with established technical solutions/architectures.* Work with IP Video Players and On Line Video Streaming apps and devicesto support IP video and audio compression technologies in support ofanalysis, validation and issue resolution efforts* Creates appropriate documentation to communicate analysis statuses,test reports, evaluations.* Collaborates with the architect team on specifications, whitepapers/Point of Views and engineering recommendations.* Communicates project statuses and drives for continued improvement inquality and availability of each the systems and products.* Works Collaboratively with Integration and testing teams to configuresystems, setup test suits and execute on test cases, identify and resolveissues and best practices.* Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance toteam members.* Other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand English.* Minimum of 8 years of experience and knowledge of video acquisition,transcoding/encoding, multiplexing, and modulation* Minimum 8 years of experience supporting systems and applications forcomplex, high-reliability systems and architectures of video services orback-offices to include video codecs and video streaming transport technologysuch as HSS, HLS, DASH, etc. solution designs* Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Unix / Linux based client/ server systems and applications (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat)* Minimum of 8 years of experience performing application configuration,programming, installation, and maintenance within a Systems Administrationcapacity* Experience and knowledge of complex Web Server technologies* Solid understanding of network design, network architecture,protocols and network topology* Practical experience with provisioning and maintaining virtualinfrastructure using VMware, Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.* Experience creating shell scripts, VMware and common Linux CLI toolssuch as SCP, tcpdump, SSH, TOP, cURL, Netstat etc.* Demonstrated experience in developing, integrating and testing hardware/ software solutions* Experience creating test plans and execution of detailed test cases forintegrated systems* Design, building and documenting internal technology solutionsPreferred Qualifications* Experience and knowledge of complex OTT/IP video delivery systemutilizing Content Delivery Network (CDN)* Basic knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support trackingof assigned projects* Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and in
