Join our team andreimagine what your career can be.Position PurposeThe Engineer serves a pivotal role in ensuring quality design and projectdeliverables that align with an exceptional client experience and KLJengineering standards. Position may serve as technical lead, project, ortask manager on projects. Position will be responsible for engineering anddesign tasks of increased complexity and impact. The candidate's focus willbe on traffic signal design, ITS and lighting design.Essential FunctionsApply civil engineering principles and standards to perform and directengineering tasksDesign of, and the direction of the design of, project elementsTraffic SignalsITSSigning, Striping and LightingDevelopment of construction and bid documents in accordance with organizationand client processesConstruction administration process and directing on-site constructionobservationQuality Assurance and Quality Control review to ensure compliance with KLJquality standardsParticipate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clientsInstruct, train and mentor group membersUtilize effective written and oral communicationResponsibilitiesDemonstrated civil engineering competenciesTraffic Signal DesignITSSigning, Striping and LightingResponsible for the completion of project tasks independently or in teamsPlans, organizes and manages project elements including client managementPermitting, Plan Development, etc.Prepare, and review written reports and other documentsAssist with preparing for and facilitating public and/or client meetingswith support from senior staffAssist with scope, fee and schedule developmentMay market to existing or potential clients and obtain workMay be Engineer of Record for deliverablesMay serve as a project/task manager or technical lead for medium scaleprojects with support from senior staffMay lead proposal and interview development with support from senior staffQualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accreditedpost-secondary institutionProfessional Engineer licensureMust possess MS Office skills including Word and ExcelMust have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehiclesPreferences:Project Management experiencePrior Engineering Consultant ExperienceRelationshipsThe Engineer is supervised by the Department Manager and will receive generalsupervision and...
