DescriptionThis position is part of the nation's AbilityOne Program. AbilityOne is oneof the largest sources of employment for people who are blind or havesignificant disabilities. If you feel youmeet the requirements to work on an AbilityOne contract and are interested inproviding our services, please let us know by applying today.Here's more about this this specific position:HOURS: 2nd Shift, 3:30 P.M. - 12:00 A.M.OBJECTIVETo prepare, scan, index and return paper documents into electronic format.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications: No formal education required.The incumbent must be able to use a computer including keyboard and mouse,should be familiar with Windows Explorer and be able to work with persons withdisabilities and disadvantaging conditions, follow instructions and performspecial duties as requested by the supervisor.Some overtime may be required and travel may be required for pick-up or dropoff of records.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS {Essential Functions}Document Imaging and ScanningThe Scanner will provide file conversion of paper files into electronic imagesper customers specifications by: utilizing equipment and space to bestadvantage possible, and scanning customer files into system and index IAWcustomer specifications. The incumbent must maintain confidentiality of allconsumer records and matters, keep storage racks neat and organized at alltimes andQuality ControlThe Scanner will ensure all work is performed at the highest level of qualityfollowing document Imaging Security rules in the Document Imaging Area,conducting in-process quality Inspections on items scanned and maintainproduction standards to ensure customer due dates are consistently met orexceeded.Relationship ManagementThe Scanner will report to work prepared to accomplish duties as assigned andconsistently communicate areas of concern or issues in an appropriate andtimely manner to the supervisor while keeping the supervisor informed ofprogress, considerations and pertinent information. In addition, theScanner will communicate effectively with consumers, co-workers and staff,and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and courtesy.
