We are seeking to build a team ofinterdisciplinary Facility Assessors to work on a large-scale FacilityCondition Assessment programs nationwide. Assessorsmust have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:mechanical systems, electrical systems, building shell, (includingroofing systems), as well as site, structural and interior elements.The team will conduct assessments of facilities and systems on buildings andinfrastructure at multiple client sites nationwide.Job Description:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Conduct an inventory of client facilities properly classifying building andsite components in accordance with ASTM UNIFORMAT II.Perform assessments of client facilities using professional expertise andjudgment to determine physical condition and conformance with specificationsand building codes.Experience using facility condition assessment software. Knowledge ofapplications such as BUILDER web-based Sustainment Management System(SMS), BUILDER RED (Remote Entry Database), Paragon, VFAFacility, or other software applications is highly desirable; however,Cardno will train good candidates in the use of required softwareapplications.Use computer tablets with built-in cameras to document mechanical orelectrical equipment and subcomponents encountered during assessments andproviding justification for determination of the physical condition.Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and standardpractices.Physical ability to inspect large complexes, includingmechanical/electrical systems and subcomponents and supporting systems(assessors typically walk up to 5 miles per day, and may need to use fixedand/or portable ladders and/or navigate uneven terrain).Basic Qualifications:Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education inbuilding and mechanical systems5 years of experienceGood technical writing skills requiredGood mathematical aptitude requiredAbility to travel, 50% or moreDesired Qualifications:Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or otherapplicable fieldMaster mechanic/technicianICC certificationASHRAE Level I and Level II energy auditorEqual Opportunity statement for US based applicantsCardno has a long standingpolicy of Equal Opportunity in employment.
