In this position you will provide the resources to help adultdefendants charged with felonies and/or misdemeanors navigate the pretrial procYou ll be a perfect fit for this if you:Have a passion for helping people while supporting community safetyHave a strong sense of integrity and value patience, compassion, and empathyExcel at learning and understanding policies, procedures, and communityresourcesThrive on a collaborative and supportive team that values your opinion andexperienceEnjoy professional development opportunitiesAre looking for a career that is more than a paycheck by providing ameaningful contribution to build our communityESSENTIAL DUTIES:The typical week for a Pretrial Case Manager may include:Interacting with a diverse population from all walks of lifeHelping adult defendants released from jail on bond navigate the pretrialprocess during the duration of their court caseUnderstanding and explaining policies, procedures, and resourcesMonitoring defendant's compliance with specific conditions of their releaseordered by the courtsUtilizing motivational interviewing with new defendants released on bond andcreates a plan for achieving goals and successfully completing requirementsAssisting with removing barriers that might prevent them from completing courtordered requirementsReferring defendants to community resourcesResponding to defendant violations of court's orders and initiate action tobring the defendant into compliance or to revoke bondYou will be successful in this role if you have the following knowledge,skills, and attributes:High level of integrity, patience, compassion, and empathyCustomer centric with a passion to see individuals succeedThrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentStrong sense of self-motivation and a personal commitment to high performanceStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explainrequirements and document detailed case notesStrong organization with ability to manage multiple cases and prioritiesComfortable with technology including the ability to, navigate databases,accurately enter data, and type case notes and documentationQUALIFICATIONS:**Please note: passing a polygraph test is required prior to offer of thisrole**Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, social sciences,or related fieldA minimum of one year work related experience.Work related experience may look like:Managing multiple projects or priorities,Customer service assisting people during a vulnerable timeWorking one on one with customers or clientsData entryCase managementDocumentation for compliance purposesKnowledge of local, State, and Federal guidelines, rules, and statutesInterviewing or investigationOr Position within the criminal justice fieldPreferred qualifications:Spanish speaking, but not necessaryOffer contingent on successfully completion of criminal history, motorvehicle record, and polygraph test; you must not have any major motorvehicle violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in thepast three years; no misdemeanors within the last 3 years; no felonies.
