Requisition Number 07045 HR Support 9.22.20 Post Date 9/22/2020 TitleHuman Resources City Grand Junction State CO Description POSITION VACANCYANNOUNCEMENTHuman Resources SupportGrand Junction Corps-Grand Junction, ColoradoThe purpose of this position is to perform a variety of self-directedfunctions for the HR department, including the timely processing of allpersonnel-related matters for the Corps. This position will be familiar withSalvation Army policies, practices, and procedures. This position alsoadministers consolidated benefits for the corps including, but not limitedto, orientation, enrollment, changes, and terminations of all healthand welfare benefits. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position.Requirements Essential Functions:1. HR SUPPORTa. Prepares corps personnel items and ensures follow-up is complete,accurate, and timely. Sends acknowledgement of approvals to appropriatepersonnel.b. Receives and screens all transfer requests, getting additionalinformation from other locations when necessary.c. Answers incoming calls, handling questions whenever possible,forwarding calls and taking messages where appropriate.d. Reviews bring-ups daily and sends out second request memos and/or makesfollow- up phone calls as needed.e. Maintains current resume and application file.f. Coordinate with Office Manager or CO for HR advertising and purchasing.g. Keeps accurate records of all Annual Performance Evaluations and informssupervisors when they are due.h. Follows up on paper work for Annual Performance Evaluations, ensuringthat they are completed and raises are implemented in a timely manner.i. Assists Supervisors with employee disciplinary processes and paperwork.* High school diploma or equivalent is required for all Intermountain Divisionpositions* Education and Work Experience: High School diploma required and somefurther pursuit of education preferred. Some data entry experience,preferably in a payroll program. General knowledge of all aspects of HumanResources and at least one year experience as a Human Resources assistant.College degree helpful.* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills including small group presentation skills. Mustdemonstrate good judgment and act in a professional manner. Ability tomaintain confidentiality of sensitive materials. Computer skills includingworking knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including MicrosoftWindows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic mall (Lotus Notes orOutlook). A demonstrated ability to create correspondence, and maintainspreadsheets. Some data entry experience, preferably in a payroll program.Must have a sense of urgency about timelines.
