DescriptionJob SummaryResponsible for the collaborative development, implementation, andoversight of all initial education for flight crews; as well as, recurrentcontinuing education to achieve and maintain required competencies.Coordinates activities to achieve and maintain accreditation; and researchesin the air medical transport environment. This position ensures that all pilottraining complies with all FAA requirements.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Management of overall Aviation training administration and development ofcurriculum Accountable for processes and training qualification requirements(AQP) with Flight Standards, Flight Training, Manpower Planning,Training/IOE/Crew Scheduling, Flight Technology, and Pilot Bases Responsible for the Computer Based Training Programs development,maintenance and delivery through Company learning management systems and theelectronic recording of training completion Develops, audits and is ultimately responsible for flight crew and checkairman qualifications, audits, instructor and check airman flyingrequirements and I/E training programs (Part of responsibilities if PilotRecords reports in to role) Designs evaluation tools, methodologies, and establishes trainingmetrics and reporting requirements Develops processes to assure applied learning provides measurable returnon the investment and are in compliance with established initiatives Partners with leadership in determining training strategies,objectives, and guides them through the implementation process Oversees the design and execution of learning and development,philosophies, processes, strategies, and programs Coordinates new hire indoctrination Oversees training coordination, scheduling and schedules Other duties as assignedAdditional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 5%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position. Carries outSupervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policiesand applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting,hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directingwork; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees,addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managersthat carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will havesignificant input in hiring and termination decisions.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential function satisfactorily. Inaccordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonableaccommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees mayperform the essential functions of the position.Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred in Business, Education,Psychology or related discipline from four-year college or university and 10years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience Master's Degree (MSN) in Instructional Technology, Management,Organization Development, or Behavioral Science preferred Meet qualifications for Pilot Previous education/instructor training Previous education management experience CFI - CFII (certified flight instructor/instrument) or aviationground instructorSkills Provides proactive strategy development for the functional discipline /strategic development of long term policy for the business unit Initiates, leads and evaluates implementation of functional programs Builds partnerships with related departments or functions to enhanceefficiency and execution Participates as a speciali
