Summary:

The Senior Commercial Banking Officer's primary role will be to generate new commercial banking relationships for the Bank in the Denver, CO metro market. Specifically, the candidate will meet sales and production targets for the generation of new commercial and industrial loans, owner-occupied real estate loans, select commercial real estate loans, commercial deposits, treasury management products, and fee income. The candidate for this position must have the demonstrated ability to critically review, analyze, structure, risk rate, document commercial loans, and cross sell appropriate bank products. Strong credit analysis skills are required.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ability to meet sales and business development goals with a focus on in-market commercial and industrial prospects with annual revenues of $5mm to $50mm.

  • Targeted prospecting, solicitation, and development of relationship-based clients on behalf of the Bank.

  • Development and cultivation of center of influence network on behalf of the Bank.

  • Analyze, structure, risk rate, present for approval, and coordinate the documentation of commercial loan requests.

  • Use of Salesforce.com for client relationship, pipeline, and product management.

  • May mentor less experienced loan administrators, commercial bankers, analysts, and/or portfolio managers.

  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Colorado Commercial Banking Director, Chief Lending Officer, or Chief Credit Officer.

  • Regular attendance required, working at the worksite or in market for sales activities during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration--MBA preferred.

  • Eight or more years of related commercial banking and credit experience.

  • Demonstrated history of outbound sales success.

  • Strong leadership, planning, negotiating, and organizational skills are required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex data and structural components to a variety of people, are also required.

  • Strong internal and external customer service skills, including the ability to timely identify and address issues, are expected.

  • Goal-oriented, self-disciplined, and a self-motivated individual possessing a team building spirit.

  • Occasional local travel to client site required, approximately 5%.

Physical Requirements:

The work environment is typical of a standard office setting. The position is sedentary, exerting 0 -- 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. It involves sitting most of the time but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Reaching may be required involving extending arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone will be used requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to customers or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
