Environmental Chemical Corp. Health And Safety Supervisor - Fuels in Lakewood, Colorado

DescriptionECC is looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor for project sites in the USfor liquid fuels maintenance (LFM) repairs to Department of Defense(DoD) Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facilities. May be adual hat position and requires previous experience on military fuels projects.This field position is primarily responsible for coordinating compliance withhealth and safety requirements on environmental projects as defined by Companystandards, governmental regulations, and contractual obligations. Thisposition may oversee loss prevention in concurrent projects or projects of acomplex nature. Due to the travel requirements, the US location of thecandidate is not a disqualifying factor. In this position you will:Coordinate the implementation of Accident Prevention Plans (APP)Actively promote and support the health and safety programs at project sitesOversee the completion of Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) preparation andacceptanceAs directed, lead health and safety training for Company staff,subcontractors, and any parties required to participate to ensureachievement of exceptional health and safety standards including participatingin developing training contentAuthor health and safety related documentation (reports, logs, andrecords), completing required information for daily reports and clientcommunications in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure that all documentation is organized and uploaded to the project portalProvide guidance to subcontractors, clients, and project team members toensure that project activities are completed according to applicable healthand safety plan(s)Conduct regular inspections to assess health and safety plan adherence as wellas identify potential loss and riskTake appropriate actions to prevent loss and mitigate risk in accordance toCompany standards and practicesEnsure that deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner and to acceptablemeasuresRepresent the Company in a positive and professional manner in client andregulatory agency interactions.Report health and safety incidents to the Company Incident DatabaseConduct related investigations thoroughly, completing associateddocumentation accurately.Communicate and document corrective actionsVerify implementation of corrective action, track and analyze correctiveaction, and close-out corrective action documentation upon acceptablecompletioSupervisor and mentor Health and Safety TechniciansReview of qualifications of subcontractorsCollaborate with Quality Control counterparts to ensure coordination betweenareas of responsibilityIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities,tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this positionRequirementsThe ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tactAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningDemonstrated success in teaching others health and safety concepts andrequirementsDemonstrated knowledge of contract compliance in government environmentalprojects (NAVFAC, USACE, AFCEE as well as federal regulations)Successful track record in effectively engaging with subcontractorsCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and WindowsThree years of progressive work experience in a position directly related tohealth and safetyExperience on DoD POL fuels projects requiredEducation - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health andSafety or related field is required.
