DescriptionBrown and Caldwell, a nationwide environmental engineering and consultingfirm, has an opportunity for a Senior Compensation Manager. In partnershipwith your team, you will lead the analysis, design, implementation,and maintenance of all compensation programs, processes, and tools at BC.This position reports to the Senior Director of Total Rewards.This job might be for you if:You are confident, adaptable, motivated, and have high emotional intelligence.You enjoy solving problems and helping people. There may be in-personinteraction and travel once it is safe to do so.What you will do:Partner with the Sr. Director of Total Rewards to challenge the status quo,bring innovative ideas to improve existing compensation programs and processeswhile meeting the unique needs of the organizationResearch market and industry specific data to identify trends and solutions toensure best in class compensation programs and practicesPartner with HR and business leaders to understand business needs, marketchallenges, and talent needs to support long-term growth of the businessLead the compensation team in the development, maintenance, and fair andconsistent application of compensation processes and tools including salarystructure, geographic differentials, job descriptions, job evaluation,market analysis/pricing, salary administration, and incentive plansEstablish and deliver statistical analysis, data modeling reports and talentanalytics to support data driven decision makingWork as a strategic partner to our business leaders, HR Business Partners,and Talent Acquisition to solve compensation related challengesMonitor the effectiveness of existing executive and staff compensationplans, policies, practices, guidelines, procedures, and re-design,modify, or enhance to achieve compensation objectives that align withorganizational strategiesDrive implementation and process improvements of annual compensation programssuch as merit and short-term incentivesEnsure organizational compliance with all Federal and State employment laws,including Fair Employment Practices, Fair Labor Standards Act, EqualEmployment Opportunity, and Wage and Hour laws. Develop and implementstandard data audit processesManage survey participation, evaluate benchmark data, pay structures,trend information, and economic projections to recommend appropriate changesto maintain a competitive market position and internal equityPartner with the senior Director of Total Rewards to build total rewardsstrategies that support business objectives. Assess the effectiveness of thestrategy through analysis of costs, benchmarks, peer company data and HRmaster data.Develop, coach, and lead a small team of compensation professionalsAssist the Senior Director of Total Rewards with preparation of materials forthe Board of DirectorsComplete special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned which may includethe redesign of existing compensation programs and the development of newprogramsDesired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relatedfield required; plus, a minimum of 10 years of compensation experience and2-3 years managing peopleCertified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferredHigh degree of discretion and confidentiality; superior integrity andprofessionalism with the ability to exercise sound judgment with sensitivityExperience using HRIS systems, and conducting data analysis usingspreadsheets, databases and statistical software to produce originalanalysis and recommendations.
