A Brief Overview
Title Review Representatives help mitigate risk to the bank by assisting in perfection of real estate collateral. They work within specified timeframes to order initial and final title products for every real-estate secured loan, provide excellent customer service to our branch Officers, Loan Coordinators, and third-party vendors and order environmental reports. This role is an entry-level step into the title area and will work independently, with significant support from their team members as needed.
What you will do
Order initial title work, Ownership and Encumbrance Reports (O&E) , and tax certificates for incoming loans.
Communicate with title companies to resolve questions and obtain the requested title documentation for each loan.
Follow up on outstanding requests as appropriate.
Manage daily workflow as directed by supervisor, utilizing loan management system to do so effectively and efficiently.
Order final title policies within an established timeframe, and follow-up on outstanding final title orders to ensure we receive the policies within the parameters outlined in FirstBank’s Loan Policy.
Order Environmental Reports for commercial real estate loans.
Answer questions and communicate professionally with a wide range of individuals.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy.
- Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant work experience in the function
- Prior loan or title experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills,
Experience with and the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF Exchange,
Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to use logic and reasoning,
The desire and ability to provide strong customer service,
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
Must be able to exchange accurate information
$15.25 Per Hour to $17.50 Per Hour
