The Pulsar development team is focused on evolving how Lockheed Martin Space does business. We’re consistently looking at ways to improve our collaboration, foster innovation and advance how we operate. The Pulsar development team directly supports advanced visualization projects leveraging things like Extended Reality and the Pulsar Center; an advanced, configurable visualization center for the immersive display of digital concepts, scenarios, modeling, simulation, and war gaming. The Software Engineer should be comfortable with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines. The Software Engineer's primary responsibility is to work as a member of the Pulsar development team to develop and test innovative solutions in support of Pulsar projects and prototypes. The engineer will support multiple projects and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (design, code, and test).
Degree in computer science or equivalent
Strong and diverse technical background
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to understand, resolve, and communicate both technical and process issues
Extensive experience in software development
Proficient with various programming languages including C# Experience working with Agile development practices and
Experience with database technologies, networking, data services and computer system interfaces
Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment with multiple deadlines
Ability to consistently learn and integrate new technologies
Experience building machine learning models by way of work, projects, courses, etc.
Experience in artificial intelligence, graphics programming, gameplay, by way of work, projects, courses, etc.
Demonstrated ability to introduce and facilitate adoption of new ideas and concepts
Experience with or knowledge of/about the various types of AR/VR/3D tools and platforms and their uses and capabilities (e.g. ARKit, Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Modo).
General understanding of the Aerospace and Defense environment
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
