BURNCO has an opportunity for an industrious Equipment Operator to join the team in Milliken, Colorado.
What You Will Be Doing
Operate heavy equipment such as loader and excavator to dig pits
Load aggregate material onto haul trucks
Manage fuel and oil inventory for equipment, maintain tanks daily
Perform routine inspections on equipment, complete minor equipment maintenance, submit work orders as needed
Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements
Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed
Keep current on safety inspections such as MSHA regulations and BURNCO safety policies
Other duties as assigned
What We Would Like From You
Broad knowledge of operating heavy equipment
Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
Experience working in aggregate industry a plus
Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
IMPORTANT: As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass pre-employment background checks, as well as drug and alcohol testing (Cannabis included), and physical assessment testing.
