The Interventionist provides individual or small groupinstruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is alsoresponsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progressand performance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully,an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks: Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills tograde-level Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to helpidentify best practices for individual and small groups of students Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically onindividual student needs Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of studentperformance and progress Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about studentprogress Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regardingstudent progress Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and familiesto discuss student placement and progress Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systemsINTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT:Bachelor's degree with proper teaching licensure program required.Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students' assignments and assessments.Participate in professional growth opportunities.English language skills.Math and accounting skills.PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN:Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, andcolleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.Collaborate with colleagues in team and building-based meetings anddiscussions.Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings anddiscussions.Oral and written communication skills.Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred.Ability to work supportively with other teachers, staff, andadministrators to provide an effective learning environment.Ability to communicate with students, parents/guardians, staff, andcommunity members.Ability to be a part of and work with a team.Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job.Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, includingregular and punctual employee presence.Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.Ability and willingness to promote and follow Board of Education policies,Superintendent policies, and building and department procedures.Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperativelywith people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.Criminal background check required for hire.AGENCY:
