Position:Department Chair/Faculty - Business and AccountingNOTE: **Must be a resident of the State of Colorado or able to relocate toColorado prior to first date of employment.**TeachingTeaches courses as assigned within faculty workload guidelines and meets allscheduled classes unless the class has been canceled or with the permission ofthe Dean. Assigned courses may include Accounting, Economics, BusinessStatistics, Marketing, Management, Leadership, Business Communicationand Business Law. Provides adequate preparation of the course material.Serves as a substitute within the program for absent colleagues for short-termabsences as determined by Department Chair, Coordinator, or DeanMaintains a work schedule as agreed upon by the supervisor and in concert withthe state and faculty workload policy (at least a forty-hour work week witha minimum of 30 hours on campus, which can include co-ops or off-campusassignments.)Maintains regularly scheduled office hours (a minimum of five per week)for consultation or advisement with students. Performs student advisement andregistration responsibilities professionally and accurately.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise and evaluate faculty at all sites within the PCC Faculty Evaluationand Performance ProcessMonitors teaching effectiveness and student learning for faculty andinstructors at all sitesFacilitates faculty course load and teaching responsibilities for each termWorks with faculty and staff to resolve issues that cannot effectively besolved at a peer levelAddress student concerns and complaints in a student-focused but policy-guidedapproachDelegate responsibility as appropriate and necessaryConducts departmental and individual meetings with department faculty andinstructional staffCoordinate and assist all faculty/instructional staff in maintainingvocational, and academic credentialsDepartment LeadershipLead an environment of creativity and innovation, aligning with academicpriorities and the college strategic planRepresents the department within the college and serve as an advocate fordepartment needsAdopting, implementing, and supporting Diversity, Equity, andInclusion (DEI) strategies throughout the Division, includingEquity-Minded Teaching and Culturally-Relevant PedagogyAdministers college policiesCommunicationAct as a facilitator between faculty and administrationMaintain open communications among faculty, staff, and studentsPart-time Instructor ManagementCoordinates recruitment and hiring of qualified part-time instructional staffin accordance with CCCS/PCC Policy and ProceduresSupervise and mentor part-time instructors in order to maintain a high qualityinstructional academic teamEnsure part-time instructors meet compliance requirements such as the learningmanagement system, attendance, no shows, syllabi preparation,assessment of student learning, required training completion, vocationalcredential requirements, portal and email usage, etc.Student Advisement, Recruitment and RetentionStudent AdvisementServe as point-of-contact for inquiries across campus for the programAdvise students as a member of the faculty teamCoordinates the assignment of advisors within the departmentMaintains student advisement and graduation records in accordance with policyand proceduresRecruitmentPromotes program at student recruitment activitiesProvide or coordinate tours to prospective studentsUpdate promotion materials and websiteRequirements: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management,Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fieldLicenses or Certifications:3 years full-time work experience in business/accounting/management,marketing/economics/finance or related in the last 7 yearsOther Requirements:Successful teaching experience in related fieldKnowledgeable in the delivery of traditional classroom, and online instructionAbility to communicate clearly to multiple diverse groups to includeadministration, stakeholders, employees and studentsAbility to use computer te
