Primary purpose of the position:

Leads and manages the financial forecast process for Beverage Packaging North and Central America. Mentors and develops a team to execute key analyses and financial reporting to help drive business decisions.

Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Leads the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting processes for assigned areas on a quarterly basis and as part of the annual operating plan, resulting in the development of divisional financial statements.

  • Coordinates and leads special projects as directed by leadership, driving critical business decisions from an Economic Value Added (EVA) perspective

  • Mentors and supports the development of the divisional FP&A team. People grower who encourages collaboration

  • Collaborates with IT to develop improvements to systems, automate work flows and reports and drive efficiency and data integrity throughout the process.

  • Develops and maintains detailed variance analysis through the team. Fosters critical relationships with the manufacturing plants, treasury, corporate FP&A and divisional accounting teams to understand monthly reporting and support accurate financial results.

  • Effectively communicates key summaries, presentations and financial views. Reviews monthly results in assigned areas and provides summative and relevant analysis to stakeholders.

  • Creates and supports standard reporting packages and KPI’s to business partner with key functions and track against annual financial targets.

  • Continually develops and enhances automated reporting, leveraging data to drive decisions

  • Pays attention to detail and is alert to business changes and how they might affect our financial results. Plugs into the business appropriately to identify and communicate the story behind the numbers.

Position Requirement & competencies:

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through graduate degree level education or work-related experience

  • Job related experience for 7 year(s) minimum

  • Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis, including on projects and a variety of business problems to executive management

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations

  • Working knowledge of the following areas: finance, accounting, Economic Value Added (EVA), business and economic principles and practices, financial modeling, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, JDE Enterprise One, and Essbase, preferred
