The Security and Mission Assurance Strategic Support Unit provides discriminating support to the business to ensure success. We focus on threat identification, risk assessment, and mitigation while improving the efficiency of the business through effective governance and analysis of process, data and overall business knowledge.

Operations Manager – Business Resource Management Lead

What You’ll Do:

The Resource Management Lead will take information from Program schedules, new business schedules, workforce planning, historical data, and communication with stakeholders across the Enterprise to:

  • Identify Resourcing Architecture to support both SMA Enterprise and Program Execution

  • Intake of disparate data sources to synthesize Resource Needs

  • Identify applicable database needs to support the Resourcing Architecture.

  • Identify and maintain metrics for growth in the next decade.

  • Interact with the Ball Aerospace Digital Engineering & Manufacturing initiative and identify architecture compatibility

  • Clearly communicate the strategic vision and implementation

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years related experience.

  • An engineering degree in a related discipline preferred.

  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • BS Business Information & Analytics or similar.

  • Experience with disparate tool sets and how to integrate them.

  • An understanding of all aspects of planning, scheduling, risk management, and team leadership.

  • Effective in small teamwork environment with broad responsibilities and minimal oversight.

  • Customer Relationships: Extensive knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas. Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community.

  • Superb presentation skills with experience presenting to senior decision making and technical audiences.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Relocation for this position is available.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $105,500 - $145,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
